Lambda Pi Eta
The organization is a national communication honor society whose purpose is to recognize, foster and reward outstanding scholastic achievement, to stimulate interest in the field of communication studies, to promote and encourage professional development and to establish and maintain closer relationships and mutual understanding between faculty and students. Membership is open to any Truman student who has completed 45 semester hours of undergraduate work, has a 3.0 cumulative GPA and has completed

Pi Kappa Delta
The organization is an honorary fraternity for speech communication and forensics students. All students exhibiting high achievement in debate, competitive public speaking or other communicative events and having achieved excellence in other academic areas are invited to join.
Society of Professional Journalists
This national society of professional journalists and journalism students encourages
high ethical standards and the improvement of journalism. Membership
includes a subscription to Quill magazine, and the Truman chapter provides
workshops, hosts speakers and attends conventions.
Advertising and PR Organization
The
AD and PR Organization is a young club that was started in July 2000 as a successful attempt to combine two already existing clubs:
the American Advertising Federation and the International Association of Business Communicators. We meet every other week to discuss and work on our projects. We also offer opportunities to listen to our speaker guests and to attend out-of-town conferences related to
public relations, communication and advertising. Our Web site is http://adprclub.truman.edu/index.html
